Saber Not Charging (All cores)Updated 9 days ago

If your lightsaber isn't charging properly or the battery isn't holding its charge, it could be due to three possible issues:

  • Faulty battery
  • Faulty core
  • Insufficient power from the source

Before you begin, review the checklist below. Once that's done, you can move on with the guide.

  • Is the charging cable or battery charger connected to the right type of charging port?
  • Is the USB cable securely plugged into both the saber and the charging port?
  • Have you tried using a different charging plug?
  • Have you tried using a different outlet?

Troubleshooting Guide:

Step 1: Unscrew the hilt to open it

Step 2: Take out the battery and check for any leaks

  • If there's no leak

Step 3: Gently pull the battery terminals

Step 4: Reinstall the battery

Step 5: Let the lightsaber charge for eight (8) hours

Please note that some lightsaber models have a toggle switch at the base of their core. Below is a list of those lightsabers. If your saber is listed, ensure the toggle switch is set to the ON position before charging. If the troubleshooting doesn't solve the issue, click this link to get in touch with our support team.

SabersPro Tip 💡

  • Make sure to always look at the output ratings on the charger you're using for our sabers. Using the wrong charger can and will harm your saber. Use a charger that has an output of five (5) volts and no more than two (2) amps. Also, avoid using any fast chargers.
  • If you haven't used the saber in a while, it might take up to ten (10) minutes for the charge to register
  • Plug your saber directly into a wall outlet rather than using a gaming console, laptop, or desktop for charging.
